BAREFOOT OPERA creates new approaches to opera, connecting with diverse audiences through performances of excellence and imagination.
At the heart of Barefoot is the creation of ensembles of performers – singers, instrumentalists and dancers – training together to produce outstanding, innovative opera and take it to new audiences. Our work includes community engagement, education and working with leading composers to pioneer new music.
We love having your support. Here are the ways you can help Barefoot Opera to continue to produce high-quality accessible opera.

Barefoot Friends
We are a registered charity, relying on ticket sales (at minimum prices), donations and matched funding. The support of our Friends enables us to build on current successes and increase the number and range of our activities.
Become a Friend of Barefoot Opera for £50 (single) or £85 (joint) and receive great benefits: priority bookings, free seats, invitations to exclusive events, newsletters and our full-hearted gratitude.

Crowdfunding
For some projects, we need seed funding to attract larger funding bodies. Bloom Britannia started life as a crowdfunded project. Crowdfunding links will appear here and elsewhere on the website when active.
Become a trustee
We need trustees who have experience in charity governance, marketing, finance, IT, grant funding and the arts. We meet every other month. For more information, please contact Barbara on 07587 042453
Become a host family
We sometimes need accommodation for our singers and musicians; if you have a spare room that you can offer, please contact Barbara on 07587 042453
